The HD1030 1 inch exit high frequency compression driver has been designed for use in two-way audio systems.
The transducer exhibits a constant slope response from 1.5kHz to 18kHz with a uniform and smooth roll-off. With a 800 Hz free air resonance frequency, the HD1030 can easily be cut-off at 1800Hz and is capable of 60W continuous power handling with a 1800Hz pink-noise signal, and a 6dB crest factor with a minimum 12dB/oct crossover slope.
Equipped with unique Phase Plug architecture, the HD1030 has been designed to give a smooth coherent wavefront at the horn entrance in the whole working frequency range, as well as high level manufacturing consistency. The phase plug with its short openings and high flare rate value assures low distortion and demonstrates remarkable improvements in mid-high frequency reproduction. 
The titanium diaphragm assembly, with its ellipsoidal suspension shape, exhibits a constant slope response from 1.5kHz up to 18kHz with uniform smooth roll-off behavior. An edge-wound aluminum voice coil, wound on proprietary treated Nomex, completes the diaphragm assembly. Nomex shows a 30% higher value of tensile elongation at a working operative temperature (200°C) when compared to Kapton. This feature enables proper energy transfer control from the voice coil to the dome in real working conditions. Moreover, this proprietary former material is also suitable for use in higher moisture content environments.
The HD1030 powerful ceramic magnet assembly has been designed to obtain 15 KGauss in the gap within a compact ferrite motor structure.

The HD1040 diaphragm assembly is made by proprietary treated Polyethylene material. Thanks to its superior diaphragm dimensional stability (160°C), the polyethilene shows constant behaviour during its whole working life. Moreover, this particular material with its very high value of elasticity modulus, (50% more than standard Mylar and 100% more than polyimide film) is capable of superior transient and intermodulation distortion response. The flat suspension shape is designed to maintain low stiffness and low mid band distortion and response. 
An edge-wound aluminum voice coil wound on proprietary treated Nomex completes the diaphragm assembly. Thanks to its physical properties, the proprietary treated Nomex former shows a 30% higher value of tensile elongation at a working operative temperature, (200°C) when compared to Kapton. This feature enables proper energy transfer control from the voice coil to the dome in real working conditions. Moreover, this proprietary former material is suitable for use in damp and wet environments. 
The HD1040 powerful ceramic magnet assembly has been designed to obtain 16 KGauss in the gap within a compact ferrite motor structure.

Description 
The HD1050 one inch exit high frequency compression driver has been designed for use in high quality audio systems.
Equipped with Eighteen Sound proprietary Phase Plug architecture, the HD1050 has been designed to give high level manufacturing consistency and smooth coherent wave front at the horn entrance across the whole working frequency range. The phase plug with its short openings and high flare rate value assures low distortion and demonstrates remarkable improvements in mid-high frequency reproduction. 
The diaphragm assembly is composed of a titanium dome sandwiched to a proprietary treated polyester suspension unit. It has been designed to maintain low resonance, lowering the minimum crossover point value at 1,6kHz. An edge-wound aluminum voice coil, wound on proprietary treated Nomex, completes the diaphragm assembly. Thanks to its physical properties, the proprietary treated Nomex former has a 30% higher value of tensile elongation at a working operative temperature (200°C) when compared to Kapton. This feature enables proper energy transfer control from the voice coil to the dome in real working conditions. The NSD1424BTN 1.4” exit neodymium high frequency compression driver has been designed for high level sound systems application.
This new HF unit uses our proprietary True Piston Motion - TPM - technology, based on a thin film nitride coating deposit over the titanium diaphragm. The thin film is just several micron thick and is realized in a PVD - Physical Vapour Deposition - vacuum chamber. With its very high value of elasticity modulus (six times higher than titanium and two times higher than beryllium), the Tin coated Titanium diaphragm is capable of doubling the diaphragm overall stiffness with obvious benefits in terms of impulse response and intermodulation distortion reduction. The frequency response is then extended by 25%, showing a predictable, ideal pistonic behaviour, avoiding top-end spurious resonances.
A proprietary treated Nomex bended former edge-wound aluminum 60mm voice coil completes diaphragm assembly. It has been made joining the proprietary treated Nomex former directly to the titanium dome through its upper bend edge. In comparison with usual straight former joint, the driver design assures extended frequency energy transfer for improved response linearity and unparallel reliability. This feature allows to keep proper motion control of the dome in real working conditions. Thanks to its physical properties, the proprietary treated Nomex former shows 30% higher value of tensile elongation at working operative temperature (200°C) when compared to Kapton. Moreover, this material is suitable to work also in higher moisture contents environments.
Equipped with Proprietary Phase Plug 3P architecture, the NSD1424BTN has been designed to give smooth coherent wavefront in the horn entrance in all working frequency range and high level manufacturing consistency. The phase plug with its short openings and high flare rate value assures low distortion and remarkable improvements in mid-high frequency reproduction. 
Through careful use of elementary pieces of neodymium magnets, Eighteen Sound engineers have developed a powerful neodymium magnet assembly able to reach 19K Gauss in the gap in compact and lightweight structure. The motor structure, throughout the precisely coherent phase plug with 3 circumferential slots and copper ring on the pole piece, reduces inductance effects and distortion.
The custom designed O-ring creates a tight seal between the plate and the cover assuring air chamber loading. 
Excellent heat dissipation and thermal exchange are guaranteed by the direct contact between the magnetic structure and the aluminum cover that allows to obtain a lower power compression value.

The ND3672 is powerful 1.4" neodymium driver features an integral dome and suspension made of special polyester, providing exceptional high output with low distortion and frequency response with high linearity. The voice coil assembly is easily field replaceable without soldering. It is designed for a wide variety of applications in high quality, high power professional reinforcement systems and stage monitors.
